Not bad at all

I took off a couple points for a couple reasons.

#1: I would've liked to hear it go longer than 40 seconds. You got a good flow, but it was too short for me to get into.

#2: Scaffolding doesn't build bars, it builds buildings. So technically that metaphore didn't work out as well. But you were fresh the rest of the time.

Seems like we got some good artists this year. Good luck in the comp.

I still give this a 10. You still did your thing on here. However, one thing I definitely have to point out being a wordsmith myself..."But it needs to come to a halt like a comma".

Actually, commas don't come to a halt. They come to a pause. Periods come to a halt lol. But that's the only thing I wanted to point out.

Yea ive been working on different ways my voice can sound the best with my mic. Ive had the same one for about a year now and ive come a LONG way. This song was actually just to gain some recording XP. As you can tell i used alot of effects in this one (ad libs, autotune, echo, etc.), im just tryna put out the best content with what I have right now :).

And for sure, ill see how this song goes. Im working on about 3 songs at once right now, and im not so sure this will be on the top of my list to finish. But ill definitely try!

A quick couple of things

You got your timing down on the track, and that's actually something that's real important. You sound as if you're too close to the mic, which makes it difficult to understand your words most of the time. But your flow is nice. Unfortunately, that doesn't make up for the inability to understand what you're saying. With better quality this would sound pro.

I know you said yours wasn't near studio quality, and honestly it's not about the quality on a website like this. But I'm not sure if you have a popper screen for your mic. If you do, move it back about 4-6 inches from the mic. If you don't, hold the mic back about 6-8 inches from your face. I ran into a similar problem when I first started recording, but only because I had a computer, a pre-amp and a concert mic (which is horrible for recording, but can be worked with).

But still, good work fam. Appreciate you coming through the page. It's good to see fans that love real hip-hop. Did you check out the Newgrounds Battle?
