BEST PART OF THE TRACK

You're rappin' in a cup with a string attached LMFAO. That shit was funny.

Thanks man, glad you liked it

Why you lying all the time?

You got me blocked on everything coward, even right here on NG. What you scared of? Add me on Twitter if you want to know what my timeline looks like. You ain't shit but a big ass joke on this and every other site. Talking about how you destroyed careers on here, but never said my name out sideways one time. Battling bum ass rappers but don't got time for a beast like me. I understand, man. You can admit how scared you are. People will still respect you for telling the truth, since you're so into telling the truth about people. We're laughing at the lies you tell on a daily basis. Mr. Big Bad Removed From Reality. Have a nice day, though telling some more lies and shit. Pathetic.

LMFAO

Goodness y'all all trying to thrash one another's name. This ping-pong match keeps going back and forth. The chorus was repetitive, but funny to listen to.

LMFAO

This is like watching a ping-pong match hahahahahaha

mseemercury responds:

ping pong matches r boring what do you mean by this lol

Plain and simple

I don't agree with the "generic sounding" comment. Not every track was meant to be lyrical rip your head off and shit down your neck type songs. If that was the case everyone would say you do it too much (Canibis was a perfect example of that). A couple of my tracks are more introspective and have more of a meaning behind them emotionally without having the flashy lyrics. Medaphores and wordplay, yes, but not so much flash and astounding vocabulary. If you're getting a point across, sometimes it's better to be subtle so the listener can understand your music.

Good job, period.

Thank YOU!

I like this

I'm not sure how long y'all have been writing and recording, but this is decent. Good music. There's only one critique I can give listening to it once over, and one thing I can point out that sounded odd, so here it goes.

V.2: "kickin shit in the 6-2-3 to 2"
Right at the "6" it sound like it was punched in. The vocals sounded completely different from before and after that single number.

Other than that, just one question for my critique. Did y'all record it from memory? Sometimes whenever artists read from paper (I myself have a problem with this when I don't memorize a verse before recording it) it makes it sound too scripted. It's difficult to get hype and get into the track when you're trying to hold the paper still and read from it. Unless, of course, the track is made to be laid back. But this one sounded like y'all were bored recording it and that's the only critique I have about the entire track.

Nice work,

Nimbus The General

UselessTalent responds:

Yeah , we just wanted to lay out a chill track
representing real hip hop n shit

I love to get hype and just unleash but it's not their steez
Promethicus and Epitome for the most part make chill music
I just tryed to compliment them knawmeen?

I can vouch for Promethicus with that "6"
He thought it would be cool to just change up the EQ

We really just threw on this beat and each wrote a verse real quick and recorded it, I know where your coming from when it comes to spitting off memory vs spitting off paper

I dont get to record that often so I kinda pushed them into recording this and puttin it up.

Thanks for the review man,
Stay up and as always one love

TO BE HONEST

This was everything the anticipation was amping it up to be. I'm not going to say one artist thrashed the other one. This, no matter what ANYBODY says prior to or after this review, was a CLOSE battle. So let's start if off, shall we?

V.1 MadFlex:
Allllllllllll the multi's were nice. The ass crack line, could've been different. I know how it was meant, but sounds a little gay lol. Carl's Jr. is the SHIT! Hardee's for people that don't know what that place is. And if he works there really, great to call him out on it. Nice personal. Bringing up the fact he was on stage with his Mayor, not so great. I actually think it's an accomplishment to have that happen, but the punch about him begging his fans to clap was a good follow-up. And you mentioned my name, which is a plus lmao. Double down like blackjack was a good metaphor. Nice using big words (FINALLY) with transitive property. Anthrax, ether, arsenic...got all the good poisons in there. Exit line was GREAT. Hiding behind a mask (which would've been flipped so well by me if I was in Gas's shoes).

V.1 Gas:
Nice flip on transitive property (Gas is actually correct with this flip). You made a nice point that Flex used the same rhyme scheme with minimal syllables. Pointed out the fact that he has nothing to show for his hip-hop experience. Nice play on his name. Not great, but not bad either. Not a great flip on him talking about touching your ass crack, but a good play on words with the group name KOA (Kiss Our Asses). Not a bad exit with the multi's.

V.2 MadFlex
Again with the multi's throughout. Also, the line about not kissing Gas's ass and making a personal about Gas's album. Nice personal about his "status" as an artist crashing open mic's. Call KOA for pity votes is a nice punch as well. I'm disappointed there wasn't at least an attempt to re-flip the transitive property line, but I suppose that wouldn't have worked anyway. The alt accounts was done too much in the battle. The marriage going bad, the bills unpaid, all good exit punches.

V.2 Gas
First opening bars were all jewels from someone that's been spittin' for 5+ years lol. That's not entirely a long time, but since we don't know exactly how long Flex has been putting hip-hop together, it's still basically showing off. Pointing out another person using his name, or vice versa him using someone else's name. The tampon fetish with Cynic. Even though the "living with your parents" line has been over used as well, it fit well when speaking about Flex's dad paying for his domain name lol. Whether that's true or not, it was still a good punch. Haunting Flex if he really murdered you was a good way to end it.

So, there you have it. Fuck voting, they tie. Overtime. I know it won't happen, but that's my vote. Gas threw more punches, but Flex said more. Gas flipped a few things, Flex flipped a few things. Their flows were both on point and clear. I call it a draw.

Hmmm

Big ups to both artists on the battle. I can't say it was close, but my personal opinion has to go to Self. And I really wanted Cynic to blast through this competition in the end. Problem was, Self was sort of right about Cynic using the same words over and over again. Maybe I'm wrong? But I've heard the Shady reference, I've heard the incest reference, I've heard all the gay jokes in the world. Self's flips were pretty good, Cynic's flips were good as well. Both did well staying on track and not losing their flow. Overall personals have to go to Self, though. And unfortunately that's what it came down to.

What

No shout out to Nimbus The General? LMAO Everyone on this entire website should be shouting my name out (I'm not conceited or anything, you know). LOL All these internet cliques and clubs and people thinking they're better than they are...that shit gets on my nerves too easily. But like I always say, just keep doing you and it'll all fall into place. Whether it's "RMP" or "KOA" (my personal favorite lol, I'm biased), or even "ROF" if they'd make music for some other reason than talking the same nonsense about the same people over and over again.

Stay up,

Nimbus The General

My vote

I have to disagree with P-Balla. Only because a battle has to have punches in order to even be considered a battle. Charisma is good to have, but to win battles you need punches, and to me Gas had more of those. So my vote goes for Gas.
